Suite HOPE: What is it? Where did the name come from, and what does it mean? While planning the initiative that is now Suite HOPE, the focus remained on creating a statement that illustrated all that Suite HOPE encompasses. Suite Hope offers education, inspiration and support for the esthetic concerns women have while receiving treatment for cancer. We strive to improve the overall quality of life for each patient during treatment and beyond to a new life after cancer.

The word “suite” sounded, well, sweet. In addition to a nice play on words, Merriam-Webster defines the word

Suite /swēt/

Noun: 1. A set of things belonging together.

Suite HOPE inspires and empowers women through its website, support group, personal consultations, and educational seminars. In the more traditional sense, suite also means

Noun: 2. A set of rooms designed for one person’s or family’s use or for a particular purpose.

Hope /hōp/

Noun: 1. A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

At Suite HOPE, the word also serves as an acronym for Helping Oncology Patients Esthetically. While the traditional definition pertains to our mission, the acronym perfectly restates the true meaning of our program.

We welcome you to Suite HOPE and invite you to join us in making the Suite HOPE's website a Suite where HOPE happens.
